A slip was a product I fancied trying to see how much they actually work, how firm they are and whether they are comfortable enough for everyday wear. I decided to sample a Naomi & Nicole slip after feeling other products, as the material felt the nicest and I liked the wider straps.
Remembering to step into the slip, I tried it on. To be honest, it’s not the best for slimming, although it does smooth the unwanted bulges. I couldn’t tell that I looked any smaller in it, just a more attractive shape. However, it’s not designed to banish the tummy, so I did bare that in mind. Despite this, it didn’t push any fat in to unwanted places so I didn’t end up with bulging legs, back or arms. Always a bonus!
So now I decided to try it out on an all day basis and wore it under one of my jumper dresses. You can feel it holding everything it place so it doesn’t just feel like you’re wearing normal clothing, but it was exceptionally comfortable! I didn’t feel like I wanted (or needed) to get out of it at the end of the day. The silicone bands on the bottom didn’t role up, and I didn’t feel the need to rearrange it all day like I have previously with other shapewear garments.
Overall, I don’t think I’m a massive fan of slips as a slimming garment, but rather a smoothing one. It shapes your body perfectly by levelling out lumps and bumps. The surprising comfort, for me, was what won me over. The ability to be worn everyday is amazing. It’s versatile too and can be worn either under a dress as underwear or with tights and a baggy top above as clothing (my favourite!).
Don’t buy this product expecting it to suck everything in and make your tummy disappear, because you’ll be disappointed. Buy it as an ideal addition to your wardrobe that is not only staggeringly comfortable, but also the perfect accompaniment to any outfit involving a dress or skirt to make bulges vanish, or even wear it as a dress or skirt if you’re feeling daring!
