Waist cinchers and corsets are definitely my thing, so I was excited to try it out. I wore it on New Year’s Eve under a lovely little dress it’d brought. Like the name suggests, and because Esbelt are a medical shapewear company, the corset was definitely ‘extra firm’. Although it was very firm, it was fairly comfortable. After about 7 hours partying, I was more than happy to be taking it off though. It didn’t dig in anywhere and it stayed in the right place, despite all the dancing!
I love the hook and eye fastenings on waist cinchers and corsets, as I feel like they suck everything in rather than push it all somewhere else, so that was a plus for me. The corset did its job really well; sucking in all my excess fat and making it look like it had disappeared. Where it all went, I don’t know!
So, a very successful product all round. Yes, it was a relief to get it off before bed, and no, it’s not something that can be comfortably worn daily. But it does what it’s supposed to do, and is perfect for a night out where you need to look a bit slimmer. An added bonus is the lovely designs made by Esbelt, making you feel like you’re really dressing up. It was as comfortable as a garment can be that is so firm and effective, with the material and bones feeling gorgeous. A little on the pricey side, but if you’re looking for a product that does its job whilst looking beautiful and will last a long time, this is the garment for you.
